Below are the current Officers for VFW 4761 for the year 2025 - 2026 and a brief bio of each.

Harold Baldwin
Commander
Past Commander Baldwin is one of the original October 5. 1991 Charter members of General Daniel “Chappie” James, Post # 4761. He’s a Bronze Legacy life member” active and sincere in his participation within the Veterans of
Foreign Wars, Post # 4761. Also, he’s an active member of the American
Legion Post # 197. A family man with wife Trina Baldwin, an Army Veteran and two sons MM3 Camuel C. Baldwin, a nuclear engineer in the United States Navy and
Char-Michael M. Baldwin, SP/4 United States Army, Air Defense Artillery.
Commander Baldwin holds and Associate of Science Degree in Supply
Chain-Management, Logistics Distribution and Transportation. Also, held several hats within the VFW, Services Officer 2019-2021 Assistance Inspection General 2018-2019, 2 times All American 2012-2013 / 2016-2017, 4 times All State 2012-2013/ 2016-2017/2017-2018/ 2018-2019, Deputy Director Homeless Veterans Support-Northern Region 2015-2015, District 6 Chief of Staff / 2014-2015, Senior Vice Commander 2008-2012, Surgeon 2006-2008, a member of the Cooties- Catfish 23. 2012-2013 Receive the IRA Harper award w/ 145 % membership,
1st place 2012 GI Joe/ 3rd place 2010-2011 GI Joe awards. He entered basic training at Fort Jackson South Carolina in 1976, Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as an Infantryman. As a
Non-Commissioned Officer, he held several positions: Squad leader, and Platoon Sergeant. As a Master
Sergeant: State Coordinator of Florida,
Site Manager and First Sergeant of the
9/108th Quarter Master Battalion, Decatur, Georgia. Past Commander Harold M. Baldwin has served his country stateside and overseas. His overseas
assignments: includes Korea -1/38- 1/32 Infantry 2nd Division location (DMZ), Finten Army Airfield Germany, Operation Desert Shield/Strom 365th S&S Transportation and Operation
OIF/OEF, 377th Theater Materiel Management Command. He was recently awarded the Meritorious Service Medal Army Commendation Medal and the
Armed Forces Service Medal & the OIF/OEF for his servicing in support of OIF/OEF. Accumulation of Thirty-Six years active duty and reserves in the United States Army.
Master Sergeant Baldwin retired as a distinguished service member on April 16, 2012.

Luthur Coley
Senior Vice
Luther Anderson Coley was born 12-19-1958. He served in the Army from 1976 to 1992. He has served as Sergeant at Arms and Senior Vice Commander for VFW 4761 and now serves as Senior Vice for 2025 - 2026

Gregory Boston
Junior Vice
Comrade Boston enlisted in the US Army in October 1988 in Charleston, SC. He attended Basic Training in D Company 2/58th INF at FT Benning, Georgia. Upon completion to Basic Training and 11M training in March of 1989 he was stationed at FT Hood, Texas, in D Company 2/41st INF BN at. He served as an Infantry dismounted saw gunner and a Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) gunner. He later PCS’ed in July of 1990 to Bamberg, Germany in A Company 7/6th INF BN. Later that year he deployed to Saudi Arabia on 25 Dec 1990 in support of Desert Storm until he redeployed on 30 April 1991. He later went to Ft Benning, Georgia in August of 1991 and was assigned to E Company 1/29 Infantry as cadre in support of the Infantry Officer’s course and the Bradley Master Gunners course. After his time up yet again he was sent to C Company 5/20th Infantry Bn in Camp Casey, Korea. He left Korea and went back to Ft Hood, Texas in October of 1994, where he served as an Operations NCO for HHC 3/41st Infantry Bn and later a Bradley Gunner for A Company until January of 1996. He PCS’ed back to Germany yet again, but this time to Baumholder, in B Company 1/6th Infantry Bn. In B Company he served as a Squad Leader and Bradley Commander. And later left to become the Bn Master Gunner before leaving again for Ft Benning, Ga. in January of 2000. To become a Drill Sergeant at D Company 1/38th Infantry Battalion for the next two years and one year at the BDE Headquarters S-3 Shop. He then left again for Ft Bragg, NC. in August of 2003 to the Special Operations Command with the 96th Civil Affairs Bn. And finishing off his career as a Civil Affairs Operations Master Sergeant with the 95th Civil Affairs Battalion at Ft Stewart Ga. Retiring on March 13, 2015. He served in positions as Team Sergeant, CMOC Team Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant, and 1SG. Comrade Boston’s decorations and awards include the the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with one silver oak leaf cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Army Achievement Medal with one silver and four oak leaf clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal with silver knot, National Defense Service Medal, KuwaitiDefense Service Medal, South West Asia Bronze Stars,Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with the numeral three, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal with numeral 3, Nato Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and a Drivers Badge.

Wayne L. Parks
Quartermaster
Quartermaster, Comrade Wayne L. Parks. Retired US Navy 1994 as Chief Petty Officer (E7) Machinist Mate. Vietnam Era and Gulf War Veteran.
Served on 5 naval ships, 3 different warships and 2 different support/repair ships. Joined the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 4761 in 2007.
Became lifetime member. Served as Junior Vice Commander, Senior Vice Commander, Post Commander
2019 - 2022.
2021 - 2022 All State/All American Commander, National Deputy Chief of Staff. Currently resides in Jacksonville, Fl with family.

Kenny Tomlin
Adjutant
Kenny Tomlin Jr. was born in Bennettsville, S.C. to Kenny D. Tomlin and Clemmie G. Tomlin.
He attended Bennettsville High, where he developed a strong work ethic and sense of duty that
would guide him throughout his life.
Following graduation, Kenny Tomlin Jr., proudly served in the U.S. Navy for twenty-four years
of service, where he distinguished himself through dedication, discipline, and leadership. After
completing his military service, he continued contributing to his community and country as a
professional truck driver for Werner Enterprise INC. and currently, is a Civil Service Supervisor
at Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Voyage Repair Team Mayport FL,
demonstrating the same commitment to excellence that defined his military career.
A devoted Mason Kenny Tomlin Jr. was a member of several distinguished Masonic bodies
across the world. His Masonic journey began at Rising Sun Lodge No. 2 in Norfolk, Virginia,
and Revelation Lodge No. 97 in Yokosuka, Japan, and New Hope Lodge No. 3 Honolulu,
Hawaii. He was also affiliated with As-Sami Lodge No. 225 of the Far East, John J. Story
Consistory 111 in Yokosuka, Japan. He served with great honor as Past Master of Temple Lodge
No. 340. Jacksonville FL.
In the York Rite, Kenny Tomlin Jr. held the title of Past High Priest of Crescent Chapter No. 50
Royal Arch Masons, and a member of North Florida Council No. 1, Royal and Select Masters.
He further extended his Masonic service as a Knight Templar S.M. Davis Commandery No. 99,
Tillman Valentine Consistory No. 22
His dedication also extended to the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine,
Desert of Florida, Noble of Rabia Temple No. 8.
Beyond Masonry, Kenny Tomlin Jr. is a proud member of Danile “Chappie” James VFW
(Veterans of Foreign War) Post # 4761 in Jacksonville, FL and currently serves as the Adjutant
continuing his lifelong devotion to fellowship, community, and service to others.
Throughout his life, Kenny Tomlin Jr. has exemplified the highest ideals of duty, faith, and
brotherly love, leaving a legacy of service to his family, fraternity, and nation
